Vision

Fort Bend ISD students will acquire knowledge, develop skills and build character so that they will lead productive, fulfilling and moral lives.

Mission

Fort Bend ISD will actively involve all stakeholders in achieving student success.

The same desire for excellence in education that led the communities of Missouri City and Sugar Land to consolidate their school districts in 1959 continues to draw parents to Fort Bend ISD. Though our communities have seen many changes since 1959, Fort Bend ISD's commitment to providing outstanding educational opportunities remains strong. As the 9th largest and one of the fastest-growing school districts in the state of Texas, Fort Bend ISD has seen its enrollment climb to over 60,000 students during the 2003-04 school year. Spanning 174 square miles, the district encompasses the incorporated cities of Missouri City, Sugar Land, Arcola, Meadows Place, small sections of Houston and Richmond, and the communities of Clodine, DeWalt, Rosharon and Fresno.
